Lía Limón supervises the removal of abandoned cars on the streets of the Álvaro Obregón municipality / @lialimon @AlcaldiaAO >>>

#ÁlvaroObregón, #CDMX.- In response to citizen demand for the removal of abandoned vehicles on the streets, Mayoress Lía Limón supervised the «Liberando tu Calle» operation, one of the permanent actions of the BlindarÁO strategy, through which today 4 cars that were parked in the Hidalgo and El Capulín neighborhoods were removed.

The Mayoress explained that abandoned vehicles are removed because they become sources of infection due to the accumulation of garbage and bad odors: «above all, they are points of risk for the residents of the mayor’s office, as they become spaces that can potentially be used by criminals to commit assaults and other crimes».

She emphasized that, with these operations, so far in his administration, a total of 1,903 vehicles have been removed, mainly in the Plateros, Santa Fe, Alpes and San Angel sectors.

She emphasized that these actions are a response to complaints, reports and denunciations from the neighbors of the mayor’s office, who provide the location of the abandoned cars, and to the coordination with the Secretary of Citizen Security of the CDMX, through the Undersecretary of Traffic Control.
